New Technique at the Office
Dr. Larry has recently completed Module 1 of the Graston Technique, a new examination and treatment procedure for the management of musculoskeletal complaints.
The Graston Technique was developed to aid in the treatment of patients who are experiencing pain and loss of function as a result of injury, cumulative stress disorders and following some surgical procedures.
The procedure is currently being used by many university athletic and professional sports teams in the treatment and prevention of athletic injuries and is also used in the management of work-related injuries.
The Technique enables the doctor to effectively break down adhesions and scar tissue that forms between muscle fibers. The Technique makes use of scientifically designed stainless steel instruments that detect and treat tissue restrictions that result in pain and dysfunction.
Dr. Larry Talks to the Grade 5 Students

Dr. Larry was once again invited to visit Ms Rankin's grade five class to present some useful information on Chiropractic and preventative health practices.
He spoke to the students about spinal anatomy, safety, fitness and posture. They were taught how spinal nerve impingement can effect one's overall health and they learned the importance of good posture and how to perform a posture check on others.
Dr. Larry showed them a video tape, full scale models of the spine and a pinched nerve.
The students were well-behaved, asked very good questions and were extremely interested in the material being presented. They were very eager to participate in the hands on posture check as the attached photos will attest.
Many thanks to Ms. Rankin and her students at Arrowview Elementary.
MISSING HOCKEY?
The NHL Old-timers will be playing the Nanaimo Emergency Services Hockey Team in a charity game on Tuesday February 8, 2005 at the Frank Crane arena. Confirmed players are Tiger Williams, Bob Bourne, Brian Trottier, "King" Richard Brodeur and "Black" Jack Valequette. DR. Larry has been invited to play again as an honorary player. At the request of Tiger Williams, he has even bought new hockey gloves this year!
