In March, Dr. Larry completed his certification training in the Graston Technique^® (GT) and has successfully treated patients utilizing this soft-tissue therapy. The GT is an advanced form of instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization that is substantiated by research, used at leading universities and healthcare institutions as well as professional sports teams. (Washington Redskins, Seattle SuperSonics, New York Knicks) It prevents acute conditions from becoming chronic and reverses the outcome for conditions once thought to be permanent.

GT successfully treats acute or chronic neck pain, back pain, wrist pain, foot pain, tennis elbow, gofer's elbow, shoulder pain, knee pain, ankle pain, TMJ (jaw) pain, fibromyalgia, scar tissue, shin splints. The result…decreased pain and increased function.

The most important aspect of any decision-making process is to be informed. This is even more crucial when it comes to our health care. Here’s what our office offers to our practice members:
Dr. Larry has been in practice at our current location (255 A Island Hwy E) for 18 years. (Nancy has been his assistant for eight years.) The practice is centrally located and the office projects a warm friendly atmosphere where patients feel welcome and at home. The majority of our new patients have been referred by family members, friends, neighbors and/or other members in the community who are regular patients. Our patients are our greatest promoters.

Once again, our wellness partners at Parksville Pharmasave are hosting Dr. Larry as part of their Live Well Seminar Series. He will be delivering his informative and entertaining Power Point presentation on "Headaches". This presentation includes descriptions of the types of headaches; the causes and the commonly prescribed medications. BUT he will suggesting several non-toxic approaches to relief including a mini-course in relaxation/meditation.

Relaxation/meditation and other non drug therapies have been proven to be very beneficial in the treatment of headaches. Again, this is because… with relaxation/meditation, chiropractic, diet reform, etc. we are addressing the cause…not simply masking the symptoms. Reaching the cause is the only way we can direct our care and allow our bodies to do the healing they are designed to do. This presentation by Dr. Larry will give participants useful information and will help them in their own wellness care.

The “Headaches” seminar will be at the Parksville Pharmasave on Tuesday, April 19th , at 1:30 p.m.

Before beginning chiropractic care with Dr. Larry, I suffered from severe lower back pain. I was referred to this office by my son. I was skeptical about chiropractic care. Since beginning chiropractic care I have experienced a decreaase of lower back pain, more freedom of movement and improved over-all mobility along the spine.
